In front of the crystal palace is wonderful water fountains. that are spraying the water high into the air creating lots of splashes. There is a women a small child in front of the fountains. watching. Next to them is a tall statue. The print is 10 1/2" x 7 1/4".

This delightful print shows the celebration of Easter Monday in Greenwich Park in the early 1800s. Lots of different things are going on in the park. There are many people dancing in the park. there is a man playing organ grinder. To the right is a large tree. there is one man sitting on one of the branches playing a violin. people are gathered around the tree. There is one group of people who are gathered close together with their swords raised in the air. In the foreground there is a row of trees. behind the trees is a large building. The print is 10 1/2" x 7 1/4".

This delightful print shows Kennington Common and Church. in London. in 1830. The main focus of the print is a field which has a wooden fence around it. there is three people sat in the field along with some sheep! Behind the field is Kennington Church. the man sat in the field is pointing towards the church showing the women who are sat in front of him. To the right is a busy cobble road. mainly people are walking across it. there is horse and carts on the road. There is a tavern called The Horns Tavern. In the foreground the church is poking up behind a large building. The sky is gray and cloudy. The print is 10 1/2" x 7 1/4".

Fine quality print 1880. of a prior steel engraving showing Lambeth Palace from the river in 1709. Lambeth Palace is the official London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Built in the 13th century it is still occupied in the 21st century and bears architectural styles from every period in-between. This print shows Lambeth Palace from the River Thames. The outer walls can clearly be seen along with the church that dominates the center of the picture. To the right of the print can be seen the Lollard Tower. where supposed heretical Lollards were imprisoned. To the left of the print can be seen the fine. brick. Tudor gatehouse. Several boats can be seen on the river ranging from pleasure craft through to trade vessels. The engraving is 10 1/2" x 7 1/2".

Very Good + condition. There is some text on the back of the print which does not impair the picture.

This delightful print shows a row of old houses in London street. Dockhead around 1810. The houses are very basic with thatched roofs. in front of some of the houses are sheds. the sheds are directly in front of a stream. On the other side of the stream are two men working digging up the ground and a Mother and child looking across at the houses. There is a large tree in the middle of the print near the Mother and child. In the sky there is birds flying by. The print is 10" x 7 1/2".

Interesting fine quality print 1880. of a prior steel engraving showing a view of five inns in Southwark. Each of the inns are named; Dog & Bear. Kings Head. The Catherine Wheel. Queens Head and the George. Each inn is typical two stories. the bottom floor being the drinking area whilst the top floor are private rooms and guest rooms. Several of the inns have an upper floor balcony so that the guests can look into the courtyard. Many of the inns have carts or horseman within a courtyard. The print is 7 1/2" x 10 1/2".

Very Good + condition. There is some text on the back of the print which does not impair the picture.
