Chromolithograph Print of the period "Deep Sea Fauna". 1902.

This print shows the sea bed. There are star fish. crabs and many other sea creatures including eel and cat fish amidst the seaweeds and living organisms. The print is 12" x 9 3/4".

Good condition with very slight foxing around the edges.

Interesting print of tubicola and suctoria. c 1870.

Tubicola are an order of tube worms. which live in a secreted calcareous tube or one built of found particles - Suctoria. stand motionless on a filamentous algae and having an enormous appetite. feeds on its relatives. ciliates like Paramecium. It is green and yellow and has formed the characteristic. long multi-colored tentacles. with these it can capture prey much larger than itself. An interesting print. The print is 5 3/4" x 9".
