Wonderful fine quality black and white print of a Lady.

This wonderful print shows a lady in masses of clothing. Circa. 1930. Firstly she is wearing a huge dress that starts off really tight. like a corset at the top. then gets wider as it gets to the bottom of the dress. It has two pleats in the side with white inside them. On the front of her dress it is well decorated with patterns which are just a lighter black print. On her head she is wearing a long veil that drapes behind her dress. and round her shoulders she is wearing a huge shawl which has got alot of gather for her to hold. Round her waist she is wearing alot of chains with round plates on them. In her hand she is holding a stripy fan. The print is 8 1/2" x 10".

Very Good condition.

An Elizabethan Gentleman

Wonderful colour print from the Connosseur magazine (circa. 1930).

Print from a painting by Sir Antonio Mor (c.1560) titled "A Gentleman". This splendid portrait shows a gentleman dressed in the fashion of the late 16th century. He wears a tight coat with an expanded pontoon. Both are exquisitely decorated with braiding. He sports silk stockings in elegant shoes. Over his shoulders his short cloak reaches to his waist. His cap wears a feather and his decoration includes three golden chains. A period ruffle warms his neck and a finely crafted sword of the rapier type is worn to the left. Print size 8" x 10".

Lovely colour print from the original dated 1902 and titled Berliner Stromschiffe. Die Strasse Neu-Kolln am Wasser by Carl Alex Brendel. 1912.

The size of the print is 8 1/2" x 11 3/4". There is slight creasing and soiling to the edges of print with a 1/2" tear along the top edge but this does not impair the image. The print is from Die Gartenlaube. 1912. Art Supplement 13.

Interesting print (1914) by F Sandys titled "La Belle Jaune Giroflee"

Regarding a beautiful and serene young woman. attractive with dreamy eyes. and a pale clear skin. a ribbon in her hair. her silk dress patterned with flowers. The relief impression in the paper around the image is testimony to its traditional pressing in the print process and is a natural aspect of a genuine period print. Size 10" x 7 1/2" the portrait being 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Very Good condition. but for the bottom edge with a slight waterstain not impairing the picture.

Wonderful print of a painting by Chalres Brocky (1807?-1855) in the Victoria and Albert Museum titled. "Girl at a Conduit". 1930.

This delightful print shows a peasant girl dressed in the clothing of the late 17th century at a water conduit. Her feet are bare and one is placed on the water trough with the water tricking down from above and she is in the process of washing her feet. A bucket stands next to her. In the background is a countryside scene with fields and trees. The print is 8" x 10".

Interesting color print from a painting by L. Richmond titled Paris-Plaging. circa. 1910.

This delightful color print shows a beach in Paris in the summertime. There are a few young women who are sat on their beach mats enjoying the sunshine. Most of the women on the beach have beautiful sunshades that are highly patterned and colored. To the left of the print are pretty, coulorful beach huts. The sky is a light blue with large patches of white across it. This original colour print is mounted on backing paper which measures 10 1/2" x 8 1/2". The actual image measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/2".

Wonderful color print of a painting by George Romney titled. "Mrs Siddons". 1930.

This delightful print shows a young woman in the costume of the late 18th century. Her face look straight at the viewer with bright. intelligent eyes. Her hair. a mass of brown curls. is only partially covered by a small cap. Her face bears little evidence of make-up apart from perhaps a hint of rouge around the lips. She is wearing a pale shawl around the body which covers a fine dress. The background is a swirl of browns with a hint of a building to the left of the print. The print is 8" x 10".

Wonderful fine quality Black and White print of Mrs Williamson as Miranda.

This delightful print shows a lady wearing a beautiful pure white gown. She is holding out her left arm and the right is holding her gown up to stop it from draping along the floor. The bottom of her dress is lined with a silk strip of white material and flatters her figure. She also has her hair tied back with a strip of white lining. Her sandals come to a point at the end and they have a flower on them. The lady is stood next to a huge. dark cliff. which over looks the sea. You can see the sea and it is very detailed as to where the waves are and which direction they are moving in. Beneath the ladys feet there is a pathway with lots of peoples surrounding her. There is also two crabs either side of her. which have big starry eyes. The print is 8 1/2" x 10".

Portrait of a 18th century lady

Wonderful print of a painting by Joseph Highmore (1744) titled. "Mary Rossam. 1st wife of Rev. S. F. Swinden". 1930.

This delightful print shows a lady of the middle classes of the mid 18th century. She is shown in typical portrait pose of the time with her body square and her head twisted slightly to her right. Her dress is a dark blue color. low-cut with fine lace around the bodice. Sleeves come down to her elbows and also end in lace. A large red bow sits between her breasts. A long string of peals hang below the neckline. Her hair is delicately coiled up on her head with ringlets and is held in place by a pearl clasp. Her face bears some make-up with heavy blushing and some rouge on her lips. The print is 8" x 10".
