Original English watercolour of an unknown coastal resort. The view is thought likely to be of a West Country beach possibly North Devon or Cornwall. The painting is unsigned. From the style of buildings and costumes we feel the painting is from the 1870's or early 1880's. There is slight foxing / brown spots which can be seen on the reverse image. Size 25.2cm x 17.6cm. Unframed and unmounted.

Framed and glazed watercolour of of a European (prob. French?) open air market. Signed by the artist P. Gulliver. No date but probably from the 1950's or 60's going by the truck and clothes. Sizes; painting 13 1/4" x 9 1/4". Slanting light wood frame, 14 3/4" x 19". We have not researched this artist. Painting style is naive but charming. Tastefully captures the market feel in a very feminine way. Very Good + condition

Accomplished original handling of a mountainous landscape reminiscent of northern Europe possibly Scotland's Highlands. Framed and glazed but about to be completely represented in a more benign but generous frame to release the mid 20 C atmosphere of exploration.
