The map is marvelously detailed showing the various towns and cities of the region along with natural features such as rivers. lakes and mountain ranges. Shows high mountain systems and deep-laminate in meters. There is a key for highest mountains. which are dark brown.Map size 9 3/4" x 12" the map itself is 7 1/4 " x 10".

Engraved by J. Rogers. Original handcolouring indicating locations of 'newly discovered gold districts of Sacramento & San Joaquim rivers'. Minor finger marks to edges.

Printed color map of North America from the First Edition of The Times Atlas. This large color map is extremely detailed. At the bottom of the map is a scale showing English statute miles. Geographical miles and kilometers. On the bottom left is in inset showing Southern Mexico. This map is 16 1/2" x 21". The map is from "The Times Atlas. published at the office of "The Times". Printing house. Square. London. E.C.. 1895." There are two pen marks at the top the map which is slightly marking the title. this does not impair the map. A bright and detailed map. There is a slight browning around the edges otherwise it is in
