Wonderful hand coloured map titled At the end of the Third Punic War.

This globe map is from a series of maps throughout the ages. Each show areas of the globe which lay undiscovered at specific dates. This map shows the seventh period. B.C. 146, outlining the Roman Empire in yellow, the Syrian Empire in blue, the Parthian Empire in green. Bithynia in dark green, Pontus in orange, Judaea in red, Egypt in lilac, Hindoostan in grey and China in light brown. The map was drawn and engraved by W. Hughes. 1846. The size of the map is 20 1/4" x 13 1/4". There are a few odd spots of browning and soiling towards edges of the map. There is a 1/2" closed tear to the bottom of the centre fold.

The only area shown at this stage is Eden. coloured in green. The map was drawn and engraved by W. Hughes. 1846. The size of the map is 20 1/4" x 13 1/4". There is some very light browning and soiling towards the edge of map. There is a 1/4" tear to bottom of centre fold.
