Delightful printed colour map of China and Japan. Printed colour map of China and Japan from the First Edition of The Times Atlas. This large color map is extremely detailed. On the bottom right of the map is in inset showing Environs of Peking. A smaller inset is located inside of this, this shows Environs of Tokyo. Map size 16 1/4" x 10 1/2". The map is from The Times Atlas. A few patches of foxing around the edges.

This map shows the main island of Japan. Every major town and city is shown and includes its names for easy identification. Various geographical features are shown such as mountain ranges and rivers. Man-made features are also shown such as towns and railways. Cutaway boxes show the other islands that make up the country of Japan. Longitude and latitude are shown as well as a scale of kilometers and Japanese Ri.. key is also included. The scale is 1:5.000.000. The map is 11" x 17 1/4".

On the bottom right there is four insets showing Liu Kiu. Tsubu. Nambu Shoto and Yezo. Located at the top left of the map is a scale showing English statute miles. Geographical miles. Japanese Ri and kilometers. This map is 10 1/2" x 16". The map is from The Times Atlas. published at the office of "The Times". Printing house. Square. London. E.C.. 1895. A bright and detailed map. There is a finger mark on the side of the maps.

German antique color map of the Far East - Japan and Korea. with inset views of Korea Bay. the Ryukyu Islands and the Kuril Islands. The 1-8 000.000 map shows the Japanese mainland and Korea with the major towns and cities of each country. together with the main railways and shipping lanes. Published by the Bibliographisches Institut in Leipzig circa. 1900. The map is 9 1/2" x 12".

Very Good Condition

Interesting hand coloured map of Japan and Corea. Circa 1880. There are inset images of Coreans. Yedo and State Barge. The original map was drawn & engraved by J. Rapkin. and the illustrations were by H. Warren & engraved by J. H. Kernot. Scale 1" = 100 miles. This map has been torn down the centre crease and subsequently is in two halves.
